Lee Johnson was appointed Bristol City manager four years ago today, and it has been a journey full of ups and downs for the 38-year-old whilst in charge at Ashton Gate.

The former Robins midfielder, who played almost 200 games for the club in a five-year spell, returned to become the manager in February 2016, following in his father's footsteps.

Johnson previously managed Oldham Athletic and Barnsley, leading the latter to the Football League Trophy final.

After successfully avoiding relegation during his first season in charge, Bristol City have proven to be a consistent top-half Championship side that have knocked on the door of the play-offs in recent years.

He amasses a win percentage of 40.3% at the club, with 83 wins from 206 games in charge.
