‘We are heading for League One’ – Sheffield Wednesday fans left fuming with latest showing

Sheffield Wednesday endured yet another miserable afternoon at Hillsborough as they lost out 3-1 to Birmingham City to add further misery to what has been a dismal campaign so far.

In a miserable first half showing, the Owls allowed Birmingham to simply overun and outwork them, and found themselves three down thanks to two from Jota, and also saw forward Marco Matias sent off just before the break to compound their misery.

The Owls put up somewhat of a fight in the second half and were rewarded for showing some grit with a Lucas Joao goal, but it would be no avail as the away side held on for all three points in a vital win for their own survival hopes.

Following the game and result, it was clear Wednesday fans were going to take to social media to have their say, and did just that, taking time out to have their say on a lacklustre showing.
