Goals from Richard Wood and a late strike from Matt Crooks was enough for Rotherham to put an end to Preston's outstanding away record this term.

However, it wasn't all good news for Warne, who saw midfielder Kieran Sadlier limp off with an ankle problem midway through the first-half.

And after underdoing a scan, the 26-year-old has been ruled out for up to three months after suffering ankle ligament damage against the Whites - which means he isn't expected to feature until the New Year.

It's another serious blow for the Millers, who're already without trio Chieo Ogbene, Clark Robertson and Shaun MacDonald.
