Charlton Athletic have been dealt a major blow in their bid for Championship survival, with the EFL set to resume on the 20th of June.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, Lee Bowyer has confirmed that three first-team players, including Lyle Taylor, are refusing to play due to risk of injury.

Taylor has been a key player for Charlton since joining from AFC Wimbledon last summer, with the striker scoring 25 goals to help the Addicks win promotion from League One last term.

Can you answer these seven Charlton Athletic questions correctly?

This season, Taylor's goals have been vital for Charlton. The 30-year-old has scored 11 goals in 22 matches for the Addicks, and those strikes have kept their hopes of Championship survival alive.

But Bowyer has revealed that the striker, who has been subject of interest from the likes of Rangers, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Middlesbrough of late, is refusing to play the remaining nine games of the season.

Charlton currently sit 22nd in the Sky Bet Championship table, two points adrift of safety. With clashes against Hull, Wigan and Leeds United still to come, these are desperate times for the London club.

Naturally, plenty of Charlton fans have reacted to this crushing news, with three of their most senior and experienced players refusing to play in what is a hugely important period for the club.
