Football League World’s Reading fan pundit Harry Chafer has given his assessment of how George Puscas has got on at the club since arriving from Inter Milan this summer.
The Romanian forward of course came through the door at the Madejski Stadium amid plenty of fan fare, with his signing coming as a welcome surprise to many a Royals fan.
The campaign has been mixed for Puscas thus far, with the 23-year-old having struggled in some games, whilst in others he has excelled.
Six goals in his opening 17 games is not bad going for a player who has only just begun to understand what the English Championship is all about.

We sat down with Reading fan pundit Chafer to discuss how Puscas has fared so far, and here is what he had to say:
“He is extremely strong and physical for his height and although we haven’t seen it from him as much as we would like to this season, he is an ice cold finisher – as shown by his last two goals against Wigan on Saturday afternoon.
“He is a very good striker who has just needed time to settle into this frantic league and I believe now we are going to see the best of him.
“He’s not great technically, he’s not a player who’s going to dribble past five or six players and deliver a pinpoint cross or put a stunner into the top corner but what he will do is put his body about, hassle defenders and lurk across that back line ready for that ball in behind or over the top.”
The Reading fan then spoke about how Puscas has improved since arriving at the Madejski Stadium:
“His movement has gotten better and he’s obviously becoming more and more used to the Championship the more he is playing in it.
“The Championship is a hectic league with fixtures coming left, right and centre so all players need time to find their feet and find their best form, hopefully Puscas is just beginning to do that and he will continue to get better and better as the season goes on.”
Puscas still has his best years ahead of him and it’s fair to say that his start to life at Reading hasn’t been a smooth one, however there are definitely several reasons why the Royals faithful should be excited for the future.
