West Brom picked up a much-needed three points last weekend thanks to a 4-1 victory against Preston North End, but uncertainty remains over the club's manager position.

Jimmy Shan has been continuing as the club's interim but the Baggies remain keen on bringing in a new permanent boss.

And the latest name to be linked with the job is Sunderland boss Jack Ross who has guided the Black Cats into an automatic promotion battle in League One.

A large amount of credit for that must go to Ross whose shrewd recruitment has resulted in the formation of a team who are proud to play for the club once again after years of dreadful dealings.

He only arrived in the North East in the summer but there is a chance he could be on his way once again, with the Sun reporting (14/04, page 61) that West Brom are interested in bringing him in as Darren Moore's replacement.
