Wayne Rooney has confirmed that Kamil Jozwiak is fit and available for selection as Derby County prepare to face Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

Jozwiak has been impressive for Derby since joining the club from Lech Poznan in the summer transfer window.

The winger has only registered one assist for the Rams, but in his 12 appearances for the club, he has cased real problems for opposition defences.

Jozwiak, though, has encountered a couple of frustrating injury problems of late, and missed the 1-0 defeat to Bristol City at the weekend through injury.

The Poland international is back and available for selection ahead of Wednesday night, though, with Wayne Rooney delivering the news in this morning's press conference.

Rooney confirmed that Jozwiak trained this morning ahead of Wednesday night's trip to the Riverside, where Derby will look to record only their second league win of the season.

The Verdict

This is undoubtedly a boost for Derby as they look to return to winning ways on Wednesday.

Jozwiak is a very good player. He can take on a man, create chances for his teammates, and they missed his vision and guile against Bristol City on Saturday.

Derby need their best players available if they are to get themselves out of this rut and out of the relegation zone, and Jozwiak certainly fits into that criteria.
