Watford continue to thrive in the Sky Bet Championship's promotion race and look a really strong bet to finish the season as runners-up to Norwich City.

Xisco oversaw a 2-0 victory over Reading FC on Friday evening, which further strengthened that belief that Watford were bound for the Premier League once more, despite both Swansea City and Brentford picking up victories on the Saturday.

Naturally, full focus at Vicarage Road needs to be on ensuring there are no slip ups between now and the end of the season, but there's transfer speculation starting to emerge as the summer approaches.

We kick things off with a little bit of exclusive transfer news from Football League World...

Adam Reach

Reach is coming to the end of his contract with Sheffield Wednesday, with Football League World understanding that the midfielder looks set to depart Hillsborough this summer.

With little hope of Reach sticking with the Owls, it could open the door for Watford to swoop, with the Hornets one club interested in a move for the left-sided ace.

They would, though, face competition to sign Reach from Cardiff City despite Wednesday's struggles in the Championship this term.

Ismaila Sarr

Despite that fact that Watford look to be cruising back to the Premier League, there still remains top-flight interest in one of their key men, Sarr.

As per The Sun on Sunday (11/04, page 67), Crystal Palace have made Sarr a transfer priority heading into the summer after his blistering form in the Championship.

Sarr, 23, has struck 12 times and registered four assists this season in the Championship for the Hornets, including a brace against Reading.

Kean Bryan

Bryan is relegation-bound with Sheffield United in the Premier League, but he's out of contract at Bramall Lane and might yet be offered the chance to stick around in the top-flight.

A report from The Sun confirms that promotion-chasing Watford are interested in the defender.

The 24-year-old has made 10 appearances in the top-flight this season for Sheffield United, scoring once.
