Watford will welcome Serie A side Udinese to Vicarage Road for a pre-season friendly on August 2nd, reports the Watford Observer.
The Hornets and the Italian club are both owned by Italian businessman Giampaolo Pozzo.
The English club have benefited in recent seasons by signing players such as Diego Fabbrini, Davide Faraoni and Gabriele Angella from the Serie A side.
The fixture will be played one week before the new Sky Bet Championship season starts and the club will be hoping for a sell out at Vicarage road.
Last year Watford welcomed another Pozzo owned club for a pre-season friendly, Spanish club Granada.
The Italian bought Udinese in July 1986 but things didn’t start well for Pozzo. After a betting scandal, the team was demoted to Serie B and had a nine point deduction on their return to Serie A after winning promotion the following season.
