Watford join chase for Aston Villa starlet

According to the Sunday print of the Sun via the Birmingham Mail, Watford are the latest club to be tracking Aston Villa striker Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been strongly linked with a move to SPL side Rangers who are keen on agreeing a pre-contract arrangement with the youngster.

Hepburn-Murphy’s contract at Aston Villa expires this summer so he could be available on a free transfer unless Steve Bruce can convince the young striker to pen a new deal at Villa Park.

Steve Bruce is keen on renewing the 18-year-old’s deal and has been in touch with Hepburn-Murphy’s parents in an attempt to negotiate his future.

The England under-18 international is highly rated by Aston Villa and was denied a deadline day loan switch to League One Coventry due to concerns about his contract situation.

Premier League Watford are now also thought to be monitoring the situation with the hope of potentially poaching him for free in the summer.

Aston Villa fans – do you think you will keep Hepburn-Murphy? Is he worth all this fuss?
