Kiko Femenia has ruled out the prospect of a move away from Watford this month, according to the Watford Observer.
The Hornets star was linked with a summer move to La Liga giants Valencia following the appointment of former boss Javi Gracia.
That question mark has lingered around his future as the club continue to battle their way into promotion contention following their relegation from the Premier League last year.
But instead of looking for a move in the next couple of weeks the Spaniard has suggested that he’s keen to play his part in helping the club to secure an immediate return to the top flight.
As quoted by the Watford Observer, Femenia said: “Personally I’m really focused on Watford.
“My season is here, so I’m really focused on the promotion, on the goal of the team, so I don’t really care about what’s being said.
“We’re really happy with him [Munoz]. The training sessions are really fun and enjoyable. We have lots of possession of the ball. From the previous ones he is quite different but now we’re really focused and happy to work with him, to implement his ideas in our group.
“Totally [he has lifted the mood], because he’s a really positive and fun person and he’s really close to all of us, which is a good thing.”
Did Watford sign each of these 14 players for more or less than £1 million?
This will be great news for Watford supporters.
Kiko Femenia has been a key player for numerous years now and there’s no doubt that if he was to move on then it would be a big blow for the club.
To have him stay at Vicarage Road – at least until the summer – is a big boost and fans will be hoping that they can capitalise by finishing the job of securing a return to the top flight.
