This morning, Leeds United have been linked with a move for Manchester City’s Angus Gunn.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are chasing a deal for the goalkeeper, with the Whites looking to offer Gunn a season-long loan in the Sky Bet Championship.

As excitement about the 22-year-old’s potential arrival grows, Leeds fan account @WALM0T33, has shared some footage of Gunn making a tremendous save during his loan spell with Norwich City in the Championship.

Gunn is yet to feature for City’s first-team, but got his first taste of senior football last season at Carrow Road, featuring regularly for Norwich in the Championship.

The England under-21 international was ever-present in the Championship and featured on 51 occasions across all competitions, enhancing his reputation as one of English football’s biggest talents.

Leeds are looking to bring Gunn in alongside Bailey Peacock-Farrell to compete for a starting berth at Elland Road.

Felix Wiedwald looks set to leave Leeds this summer, whilst Gunn’s arrival will open the door for Andy Lonergan to also depart.

The Verdict

Leeds’ supporters will be really encouraged by this footage of Gunn, who made an impressive contribution at Norwich.

The goalkeeper is still young, but has a huge amount of ability and would be an upgrade on Wiedwald and Lonergan.

The prospect of the 22-year-old competing with Peacock-Farrell is really exciting for Leeds.
