Jay-Roy Grot is currently a man nowhere near Paul Heckingbottom’s first-team squad, with the Leeds United forward yet to feature under the Elland Road head-coach.

The Whites moved to sign Grot during the summer transfer window, but the 19-year-old is yet to start in the Sky Bet Championship, with the bulk of his appearances coming in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Leeds haven’t seen the best of the Dutchman, who has failed to score a senior goal, with Heckingbottom pulling Grot from the firing line following his appointment at the start of last month.

Heckingbottom’s predecessor Thomas Christiansen had attempted to use Grot as an impact sub earlier in the season, but Heckingbottom has left the forward with Leeds’ under-23 squad.

Grot has been on target for the development squad recently, and is making plenty of noise at youth level, scoring twice against Hull City recently.

A Leeds fan has taken to Twitter to share Grot’s goals, with @Dazlelar29 sharing to footage of the striker’s goals at the KCOM Stadium.

Heckingbottom’s side are still failing to impress in the Championship, and are currently on a three-match winless run, which has dented Leeds’ slim play-off hopes further ahead of the run-in.
