Wolves were on sensational form on Saturday evening as they swept aside play-off chasers Sheffield United, thrashing Chris Wilder's side 3-0 to keep their eleven point lead at the top of the Championship intact.

In the first half especially, Nuno Santo's men were rampant and they netted two sensational goals - through Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota.

That set the tone for a hugely impressive win, rounded off by a deflected second half free kick from Ivan Cavaleiro, and also gave the official Sky Bet Championship official Twitter account with a tough decision when it came to choosing their Goal of the Weekend.

In the end, they went for Neves' early stunner, thanks in no small part to the sensational pass from defender Conor Coady to set the whole move off.

The Verdict

There is no doubting that this is a sensational strike and Coady's pass to set it all off was so classy. However, I don't think this was the game's best goal, let alone the weekend.

Jota's goal was proceeded by a passing move as crisp as anything you could hope to see in the Championship and that would have been my pick.

However, scoring two Goal of the Weekend contenders shows just how well Wolves played on Saturday, after a small wobble through the festive period.
