Eddie Nketiah has been looking ahead to football’s resume, sharing a video onto social media that includes his goals and celebrations whilst on loan with Leeds United.

Leeds oversaw Nketiah’s development during the first-half of the campaign, but after five months of struggling to emerge from Patrick Bamford’s shadow, Arsenal recalled him.

Nevertheless, Nketiah still clearly holds fond memories of his time with Leeds, taking to Twitter to share a video of his goals so far this season for the Whites and Arsenal, alongside a ‘pending’ caption and his infamous dial-in celebration.

In his time with Leeds, Nketiah scored five goals across all competitions, with three of those coming in the Championship.

The first of those was the winner against Brentford at Elland Road and the second came as part of 2-0 victory over Barnsley at Oakwell; that game saw Nketiah also win a decisive penalty.

Nketiah secured Leeds a point at Preston North End too, with the striker’s well-directed header earning a 1-1 draw.

Since return to North London, Nketiah has settled into life under Mikel Arteta well, with the 20-year-old scoring three goals.

QUIZ: Can you name Leeds United’s last 15 managers?

The Verdict

Nketiah has had a remarkable season when you think about it; he’s developed at Leeds and despite not getting the game-time he craved, managed to crack the first-team at Arsenal.

He’s set up well for the coming seasons and Leeds played a big part in that.

You feel like Nketiah recognises that and it won’t be easy for him to forget a memorable five months at Elland Road.
