Wolverhampton Wanderers are a club decorated in history, however have endured a time of real transition of late.

In late July, Kenny Jackett saw his three-year tenure at Molineux come to an end, after Chinese consortium Fosun International took over the club, and brought in former Sampdoria boss Walter Zenga.

And Zenga has defied the odds and proved doubters wrong in the early stages of the 2016/17 Championship campaign, winning twice, drawing twice and losing once, seeing them sitting in 9th place.

Wolves will be looking to ignite a promotion push back up to the Premier League, ever since being relegated to the second tier in the 2011/12 season.

Here, Football League World writer George Harbey, suggests THREE of the best Wolves goals of all-time.....

Alex Rae vs Bolton Wanderers

This thumping volley came in the 2003/04 campaign, in a season which ultimately culminated in relegation, finishing in 20th place.

Managed by Dave Jones, this game eventually finished 1-1, after a late equaliser by Kevin Davies.

Alex Rae netted 15 times in 107 times at Molineux, before sealing a move to Rangers.

Jody Craddock vs Bradford

Another sumptuous volley from one of the true Molineux legends.

Craddock made 215 appearances for the West Country club, before hanging up his boots in 2013, however the centre-half showed no sign of old age with this goal vs Bradford City in the 2007 League Cup.

Wolves then went on to narrowly miss out on the play-offs on goal difference that season, with Zenga looking to go one stop closer this term.

Steve Bull vs Bolton

Steve Bull scored 250 times in 474 times for Wolves in his career, however this strike on his weak foot in the 1988/89 campaign was perhaps one of the best.

Bull netted 37 times in that season, which culminated in a title winning campaign, and the Molineux faithful will surely be crying out for a player like Bull in present times.
