‘Waste of wages’, ‘Some agent’ – 7 things Stoke fans said after forward completes surprise transfer

Stoke City have confirmed that they mutually agree to cancel the contract of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, which allowed the forward to complete a surprise move to PSG.

The 29-year old joined the Potters last year on a free transfer after leaving Schalke 04.
He managed five goals in 30 appearances in what was a very diappointing season for the Staffordshire club that resulted in relegation.
Yet, he still managed to earn a deal with the French champions, signing up for two years with Thomas Tuchel’s men.
His departure won’t be felt much by Stoke this season, with the Cameroon international yet to feature in a matchday squad under Gary Rowett.
The Potters confirmed his departure on social media last night, thanking the forward for his efforts.
That didn’t go down too well with the majority of fans, many who felt Choupo-Moting didn’t do enough whilst wearing the shirt last season.
Here’s how they reacted to his departure on twitter…
Excellent bit of business, waste of wages and wasn’t good enough. Poor signing from day one

Mutual? It shouldn’t have been mutual, should have ripped his contract up and got shot of him months ago.
