Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly met with Tottenham Hotspur loanee Jack Clarke to discuss his future but it appears many fans of the Yorkshire club are keen for the teenager to leave in January.

The Whites sold Clarke to the Premier League side for a reported fee in the region of £10 million in the summer but the 18-year-old was sent back to Elland Road on a season-long loan.

The winger is yet to feature in the Championship this season, with his only first-team opportunities coming in the Carabao Cup.

It is understood that there is a January recall clause in Clarke's loan deal and unless things change over the next six weeks, it is difficult to see Spurs not using it.

According to Football Insider, the 18-year-old has met with the Leeds boss recently to discuss the season so far.

The report claims that Bielsa told him he was happy with his efforts and that he is doing better than last season, as well as urging him to keep going as his chance will come eventually.

It appears that despite starving him of first-team opportunities, Bielsa may be hoping to hold on to the teenager in January.

Many fans of the Yorkshire club seem to have other ideas, however, as they took to Twitter to call for the club to let him go at the turn of the year.
