Leeds United will have a new club crest for next season as they prepare to celebrate their centenary year.
yes, but it will be for one season only (next season).

The Whites unveiled what they planned to be the new badge in January last year, however, it was widely mocked in the football world, with supporters demanding a re-think.
Following on from that, it was then announced that a new badge would be ready for the start of next season.
However, journalist Phil Hay has provided an update on the situation, revealing that they will be using a new design just for next season.
It’s similar to the current design in that it’s a shield, although the ‘LUFC’ down the middle is not there, whilst it clearly marks the 100th year as a club.
That also means that another, long-term badge will be needed at the end of next season.
This caused some debate among Leeds supporters, who weren’t too pleased given the amount of time the club has had to find a new design.
Here’s some of the reaction…
What a waste of an opportunity.

Must have taken a team of designers at least 30 seconds to come up with that idea! ????????????♂️

What an absolute waste of time and opportunity. Hope this doesn’t reflect the quality of the new badge when they release that.

I'm OK with it. Whatever design they came up with someone (maybe even me!) would not have been happy with it. It's what happens now on the pitch is all that matters.

Looks a bit silly not including the LUFC. It’s like going outside with no trousers on.

Downgrade in my opinion

Ah you’ve answered my question in next tweet – apart from when is the brand new badge being unveiled? Season after? So 2020-2021 season?
