Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly keen to sign Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy according to Football Insider.

It is also claimed that both Nottingham Forest and Derby County are interested in a deal to sign the 25-year-old, who has struggled for consistent game time this term in the Championship.

Murphy has made just three league starts this season for Neil Harris’ side, who are currently sat 15th in the Championship table after 23 matches.

A move to Sheffield Wednesday could tempt Murphy, as he goes in search of find regular game time this season. The Owls are currently sat 23rd in the second-tier standings, and will be eager to pull themselves clear of the relegation zone at the earliest of opportunities.

Sheffield Wednesday previously had Josh’s brother Jacob on loan with them during the 2019/20 season, and you would imagine that he’ll be keen to replicate his brother’s strong run of performances in his brief spell with the club.

Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday supporters took to social media to issue their thoughts on the club’s rumoured interest in signing Murphy before the closure of the January transfer window.
