The homegrown midfielder spent last season away from the City Ground on loan, spending the year in League Two with Port Vale.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals across all competitions and hugely impressed during his time at Vale Park - however another loan move to the fourth tier has been confirmed.

Taylor was training with the first-team in pre-season, and it looked as if the youngster was going to be given a chance in the Championship, but it hasn't been the case so far.

Forest confirmed yesterday that the midfielder has now joined League Two side Scunthorpe United on a season-long loan deal, with regular game time a priority for the player.

Plenty of Forest fans have since reacted to the news regarding Taylor, with some left frustrated that he has been sent out on loan given the lack of attacking midfielders in Forest's first-team squad at the moment.

Joao Carvalho has recently joined UD Almeria on loan and Tiago Silva is reportedly close to signing for Olympiacos, leaving Luke Freeman as the club's only out-and-out attacking midfielder.
