A number of QPR supporters have hailed the contribution that forward Lyndon Dykes was able to make from the bench in the Rs’ 2-0 win against Coventry City on Saturday.

The Rs were aiming to get back to winning ways in the Championship after they had been forced to come from 2-0 behind to earn a points against Barnsley in their previous league fixture.

Mark Warburton’s side though struggled to take a real grip on the game in an even first hour of the contest and it seemed as though they could be heading for another share of the spoils against Coventry.

However, Dykes was brought off the bench on the 67th minute and the forward made a real positive introduction to proceedings giving the Rs a real presence in the final third.

The forward managed to fire home the all-important opening goal of the game just moments after coming onto the field and that really got the Rs going in the right direction.
