Cardiff City will be looking to keep their promotion charge going this weekend as they travel to Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow afternoon.

It's probably one of Neil Warnock's favourite away days, too, given his Sheffield United ties and he'll be looking to get a big three points though the Owls fans are sure to give him some stick.

Even so, Warnock's never been one to shy away from confrontation, nor does he tend to do anything but say it like it is in his press conferences.

And, with that in mind, he's been typically frank about Anthony Pilkington now being in his plans after it appeared that the winger would be on his way before too long in the summer.

As quoted by Wales Online, the manager has revealed there's no one coming in for him due to his wages and that perhaps his new haircut is the factor behind an upturn in form:

"Anthony's got quite a lucrative contract so there’s no club bashing my door down, they’re offering peanuts," added the Yorkshireman.

"I’d rather keep him, especially with (Danny) Wardy going and especially with his attitude.

"My missus says it’s because he’s had his hair cut - he looks like a footballer now. He looks hungry so I’m really pleased with him."

Another interesting collection of quotes from Warnock, then, and we're sure he'll have a few more lined up after the game against the Owls tomorrow.
