Mark Warburton has confirmed that he wants to sign one more player before the deadline at 5pm this evening for QPR to round off what has been a good window for the Hoops.

Though losing Ebere Eze was always going to be considered a blow, the R's have done well to add to their squad this transfer window and have made some good signings in the process.

Indeed, if they do not add further before the deadline they can still feel as though this market has gone well but Warburton is hoping for one more arrival between now and this evening.

Speaking to the press before the R's game with Bournemouth this weekend, he confirmed work is being done on one more player.

Believed to be a defender as per West London Sport, this is what he had to say as quoted by the same outlet:

“We’re looking for one more if the right deal can be done. A lot of work is going on right now to secure one more.

“We want to get one or two of our young talents out to keep them developing as well. It sounds great to have them on the bench but we want to make sure they keep playing and keep developing, which is vital for them.

“It (a new signing) depends on what’s available and the financials but also if we get the right opportunity for one of our young ones to go out as well.

“We are looking for one more but it will only happen if we get the right situation for one of our players and then the right player that adds the quality we’re looking for.”

The Verdict

Who the player is that QPR manage to sign remains to be seen but there will be plenty of eyes on W12 between now and this evening as they look to get the deal done.

They've had a good window so far anyway, but one more arrival could be the icing on the cake for the market.
