Mark Warburton is hopeful that Rob Dickie is going to be fit for QPR's trip to Brentford on Friday night in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Hoops saw off Rotherham United with a 3-2 win yesterday evening at the Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium and head to Brentford just three points behind their west London rivals.

It should be a good game between two sides that play nice football and Warburton is hopeful that his defence will be boosted with the return of summer signing Dickie.

He said, via West London Sport, after the full-time whistle last night:

“He was on the training pitch today and I hope very much he will be available.

“The medical team are working very hard with him.”

The Verdict

Dickie has impressed since arriving at the club after leaving Oxford United in the last transfer window, and it is clear the Hoops are stronger with him in the team.

He rolled his ankle just before the Watford game at the weekend and had to sit that out, before not being risked last night against the Millers.

It sounds as though he is hard at work trying to prove his fitness for Friday, though, and Hoops fans will have their fingers crossed that he will be ready.
