According to the Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton is eyeing up another raid on his former side Rangers in the January window.

The men from the City Ground have struggled this season in terms of keeping things tight at the back and that is where MW will surely be looking to sort in the upcoming window.

It might make sense, then, that he is being linked with the Gers' goalkeeper Wes Foderingham ahead of the window.

The pair, of course, worked together at Ibrox last season and the Reds' manager has certainly shown a willingness to go after his former side's stars.

Barrie McKay was signed ahead of this season and has done well and so if Forest bring in Foderingham the hope will be that the same impact is made by him.

Certainly, Forest do need to do something to address their leakiness at the back and a new goalkeeper seems to be largely on Reds fans' minds.

Whether or not the experienced Gers stopper is the answer remains to be seen, though, with Forest needing to get their game with Sunderland this weekend done first.

The Verdict

Foderingham has got plenty of experience to bring to Forest and could help them start tightening up.

Let's see if Rangers are willing to let him go mid-way through the campaign though.
