Loads of Reading fans have reacted after the club confirmed that sporting director Mark Bowen had been appointed as the new first-team manager.
The decision came after Jose Gomes was sacked last week following a poor start to the season for the Royals with the Berkshire club now settling for Bowen.
With 11 matches played, Reading sit in 22nd place just three points above bottom club Stoke City despite splashing the cash in the summer to bring in the likes of George Puscas and Lucas Joao.

Bowen will get his tenure underway against Preston North End at the Madejski on Saturday following an international break but it looks like he will need to do a lot to prove his worth to the fans.
Many have absolutely hammered the club and their new manager, some even calling him a snake for his part in the departure of Gomes too.
Here is what they had to say on the matter…

Think you better be preparing for a record low attendance Saturday guys, after all the work that had been put back into building back up the relationship between club and fans that is a rather spectacular way to tear it back down.

Not a single fan wanted this.
Not a single fan wants that snake managing our club.
Have no respect for him and he evidently doesn’t have any respect himself.
Disgusting decision. #readingfc

What an absolute joke of a club we really are!

The club should hang their heads in shame, this is an outrageous appointment. We're more likely to be playing League One football next season with this clown at the helm.
