Walsall boss Dean Smith has said highly rated 22-year-old Sam Mantom is not for sale according to the Express and Star.
Huddersfield Town have been a club linked with a possible move for Mantom, but boss Smith has said there has been no enquiries from the Yorkshire club.
Smith has also said it would take a large bid before the club would even consider selling last season’s player of the year.
“We have had zero contact for Sam Mantom and in all honesty he is not for sale,” said Smith. “He is our player and a massive, integral part of our team.
“It will take an awful lot of money for anybody to come in for him. We have had no contact from Huddersfield at all, it is all speculation.”
