Chris Hughton’s side secured promotion from the Sky Bet Championship on Monday following their 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic, sparking wild celebrations on the South-Coast.

Next season will see Brighton compete in the top-flight for the first time in 34 years, and also renew their rivalry with Crystal Palace.

Palace have been battling relegation in the Premier League, but five victories from their last seven fixtures has lifted Sam Allardyce’s side seven-points clear of the relegation zone.

During Brighton’s promotion party, Lewis Dunk was asked for his opinion on Palace’s forward Wilfried Zaha, who has previously tormented the Seagulls in the Championship.

Dunk replied by spitting his drink out towards the camera, which has brought an angry response from Palace’s supporters, with some claiming the Brighton defender is not fit to lace Zaha’s boots.
