West Bromwich Albion winger Bakary Sako is in line to make a surprising return to former club Crystal Palace this month.

The 30-year-old has been limited to just two league starts for the Baggies this season, since his arrival from Selhurst Park on a free transfer back in October.

The Mali international endured a tough time with injuries at Palace, and made just 15 league starts for Roy Hodgson's men during a three-year stay with the London club.

But reports from reliable journalist Alan Nixon claim that the winger, who has fallen out of favour at The Hawthorns, could be set to make a bizarre return to Palace, just three months after they let him leave on a free transfer.
