Harry Arter and Nuno da Costa have both left Nottingham Forest ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline, which has drawn an excited response from many fans of the East Midlands club.

The pair have found opportunities hard to come by this season and appeared to be out of favour under Chris Hughton.

Forest have now confirmed that both players have left the club on season-long loan deals ahead of the end of the summer window this evening.

Arter has joined League One side Charlton Athletic, returning to the Valley 12 years after the Addicks academy graduate left the south London club.

Da Costa will link up with Ligue 2 outfit Caen, having spent last term with Belgian top tier club Mouscron.

The pair are the latest players to leave on Deadline Day after Jordan Gabriel signed permanently for Blackpool earlier today.
