Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has made three changes as his side look to end a run of four games without a win.

The West Midlands side have lost significant ground in the race for the play-offs and they currently sit nine points behind sixth place.

Therefore, they need to get back to winning ways quickly and Smith has made three changes from the side that lost 2-0 at home to West Brom last week.

Firstly, keeper Lovre Kalinic has dropped to the bench, although he was a doubt going into the game with concussion, with Jed Steer starting.

Then, Anwar El Ghazi and Jonathan Kodjia have been handed starts, with Andre Green and the suspended John McGinn missing out.

That could lead to a change in formation for Villa, with Kodjia potentially partnering Tammy Abraham up top in a 4-4-2.

Alternatively, the Ivory Coast international could start from the left, with El Ghazi operating as a number ten.
