‘Very impressive’, ‘A menace’ – Plenty of Reading FC fans issue high-praise for summer signing

Reading progressed to the next round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, although they were made to work hard for it against League One side, Wycombe Wanderers.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side took a shock lead on the night with Alex Samuel heading home from a corner, but their lead didn’t last long.

Reading’s summer signing, George Puscas equalised shortly after with a close-range finish, after seeing his initial effort saved by goalkeeper, Ryan Allsop.

The Royals then went on to win the game on penalties, with Rafael producing heroics during the shoot-out to see Jose Gomes’ side face Plymouth Argyle in the second round.

Puscas’ goal was his first for the club after signing from European giants, Inter Milan towards the end of the summer transfer window.

The Madejski Stadium faithful will be hoping that he can add to that goal tally as the season progresses in the Championship.

Plenty of Reading fans were pleased with what they saw from their new signing on the night.
