Plenty of Stoke City fans have taken to social media to react to the reports that the club have made an official approach to speak to Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill over the vacant managerial position at the Bet365 Stadium.

Stoke are currently bottom of the Championship table, six points from safety, and are in the process of searching for a new manager after parting company with Nathan Jones last week - after nine months of him in charge of the club.

Sky Sports are reporting that Stoke have now made an official approach to the Irish Football Association for Northern Ireland boss O'Neill - although they are yet to agree on the amount of compensation they would need to pay to get him.

O'Neill has been in charge of Northern Ireland for eight years and led them to qualification to Euro 2016, but he has never managed in the Championship before.

Plenty of Stoke fans have taken to social media to react to the reports and give their thoughts on whether O'Neill would be a good appointment for the club.
