Millwall boss Gary Rowett has issued his verdict on his side's 1-1 draw with Fulham last night, which has been well received by many fans of the South London side.

The Lions bounced back from Aleksander Mitrovic's opener in the third minute and could've taken all three points if they'd taken their chances.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson pulled the hosts level in the seventh minute, stabbing in an equaliser that was given even though it seemed he may have been offside in the build-up.

Millwall had a golden opportunity to take the lead later in the first half but Jed Wallace blazed a penalty over the bar, meaning the scores remained level.

Neither side was able to find a decisive goal after the break and the spoils were shared.

Speaking after the game, Rowett provided his verdict on the clash and

He said (via the club's official Twitter account): "Today we've given it a real good go against probably one of the top three teams at the minute.

"The challenge we've got at the moment is that when we need to win games, put our foot on it and show that bit of composure, we maybe just haven't quite got that in the team at the moment.

"But I just think we're improving. The performances have been really encouraging, even in games like tonight that we draw. I can't be disappointed."
