Derby County have recently issued a statement confirming that a member of Leeds United’s footballing staff were spotted spying on the Rams at the club’s training ground.
Police were called on Thursday morning following reports that a man had been spotted at the perimeter fence of the Moor Farm training complex, as Frank Lampard’s men underwent their final preparations for their clash with Leeds on Friday night.
There is a huge three points up for grabs as Leeds look to extend their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, whilst Derby look to cement their position in the play-off places.
Here, we discuss this bizarre development…
“It’s highly embarrassing, that is for sure.
“There should be enough confidence in their own approach to attack Derby, not this subterfuge.
“It’s actually ridiculous the more I think about it – Leeds should know better.”
“This is hugely bizarre, but very embarrassing from a Leeds perspective.
“What does this say about their pre-match preparations for such a big game?
“I’d feel concerned if I was a Leeds fan.”
“It’s a laughable situation, that could have consequences for Leeds.
“I’m all for getting knowledge about the opposition before a game, but this isn’t the way to go about it.
“Knowing Leeds’ luck, they’ll be getting a points deduction for this!”
