Blackburn Rovers fans have been busy tweeting "VenkysOut" in a revival of their campaign against Venky's, their Indian poultry giant owners.

In a move which has seen them garner national attention they have once again expressed their discontent over the 6 year tenure of Venky's - in which Blackburn Rovers have fallen from the lucrative Premier League to languishing in the bottom half of the Championship.

The club currently only has 14 players under contract and is without a manager, a role which Owen Coyle is favourite with the bookmakers to fill.

This is a move that has further infuriated the Blackburn supporters. Owen Coyle is of course the ex-manager of Rovers' fierce rivals Burnley, however it is his affiliation with the Kentaro sports group which is of much more concern.

The Kentaro group, in particular it's founder Jerome Anderson, were in partnership with Venky's during the early years of their controversial takeover of Blackburn Rovers six years ago.

The last time the Venky's made an unpopular managerial choice with affiliations to Kentaro was Steve Kean - a man whose very name is enough to silence a whole room in Blackburn.

Blackburn have recently been in the press about a supposed takeover from Seneca Partners.

Their two owners, Ian Currie and Ian Battersby, had supposedly proposed an idea that would see them take a 51% stake in the club. They would then oversee the transformation they believed to be necessary to allow the club to be challenging for promotion back to the Premier League.

This move was sensationally denied by the Venky's in a club statement which the two Ian's said made "clear in terms of the line the owners intend to pursue". This current resurgence in the movement to persuade the Venky's to leave may make the owners reconsider the proposal the two Ian's have supposedly sent them.

Blackburn play Blackpool in a pre-season fixture on July 23rd. With both teams at loggerheads with their owners the fixture is being seen by many as a perfect opportunity to vent their frustrations.

Blackburn Fans: Would you like to see the Venky's leave the club? Are you worried about the future of your club? Do any among you believe the only way out of this is to stick with the Venky's? Can their cash bankroll the club during their current financial crisis? Leave a comment below!
