Tonight sees two Sky Bet Championship clubs who have had contrasting starts to the season go head-to-head, when Ipswich Town welcome Sunderland to Portman Road.

Mick McCarthy’s side sit just outside the play-offs after eight fixtures, with Ipswich having a game in hand over the majority of their top-six rivals.

One the other hand, Sunderland have endured a torrid start to their Championship return, and currently occupy a place in the relegation zone, with Simon Grayson’s side picking up just a single point from their last six fixtures.

Here at FLW, we have looked to create a combined XI, featuring players from both Ipswich and Sunderland.

We have opted for Ipswich’s, Bartosz Bialkowski, in goal, with neither Jason Steele or Robbin Ruiter able to stake a claim as Sunderland’s first-choice yet this season.

Ahead of Bialkowski, we have opted for three of his Ipswich teammates, Dominic Iorfa, Luke Chambers and Jonas Knudsen, with Sunderland’s, Lamine Kone, making up the defence.

Cole Skuse, who has impressed for Ipswich during the early stage of the season, partners the experienced Lee Cattermole in the midfield of our 4-2-3-1 formation.

Sunderland’s, Aiden McGeady and George Honeyman, flank our attacking trio, with David McGoldrick our choice in the number 10 role.

£900k-rated Joe Garner is the focal point of attack, with the Ipswich striker preferred to James Vaughan.

Ipswich and Sunderland fans… What do you make of our XI? Let us know your thoughts!
