Wigan Athletic manager Uwe Rosler has dropped the biggest hint yet that on-loan Manchester United star Nick Powell will remain with the club until the end of the season.
Powell has scored eight times during his season-long loan with the Latics, and also created history as he netted the club’s first ever European goal against NK Maribor.
His fine form has started rumours that David Moyes wants to move the youngster to a Premier League club to aid his development further. This rumour was fuelled when Moyes stated he had been keeping a close eye on the attacking midfielder and tracking his progress.
But new Wigan manager Rosler, told the Wigan Evening Post that the signs are positive from Old Trafford of the 19 year-old staying at the DW Stadium.
“I have had more good dialogue with David Moyes and I know where we are,” Rosler said.
“That’s all I can say for now. But look at my face – I am smiling – so that tells you it’s not the worst news. That says something.”
