Nottingham Forest midfielder, Joao Carvalho has been linked with a move away from the City Ground in the summer with Olympiacos reportedly interested in a deal to sign him.

Greek media outlet SDNA (via Nottinghamshire Live), claim that Olympiacos are tracking Carvalho over a potential summer swoop for the out-of-favour Reds midfielder.

The 22-year-old has struggled for game time this season and has been restricted to just 25 league starts this season.

His lack of game time hasn't gone down well with Nottingham Forest supporters this season, especially when they could benefit from having a player of his quality in their side as they mount their challenge for a top six finish.

Carvalho only arrived at the City Ground in the summer of 2018, but has seen his game time limited since Martin O'Neill was appointed as Forest boss.

Olympiacos are owned by the same owner as Nottingham Forest, so this latest rumour should be taken seriously, and it could see Carvalho heading for the exit door in the summer.

But should Nottingham Forest be considering selling Carvalho?

We discuss....

Louie Chandler:

"This would be utter madness.

"It seems this summer that it is a choice between Carvalho and O'Neill and they simply mist pick the Portuguese midfielder.

"He has not been outstanding but there are clearly signs of a top player in there.

"Getting rid of him to appease O'Neill would set Forest back a long way."

Jacob Potter:

"They shouldn't be considering any approach for him.

"Carvalho hasn't been treated fairly in my opinion and he should be in the starting XI on a more regular basis, and I have no idea why he isn't featuring as much this season.

"It would be a huge mistake if they sold him in the summer."

Toby Wilding:

"This could well depend on what sort of offer comes in for him.

"At 22, Carvalho still has a long time left in the game, and has shown potential in his debut season at Forest.

"That being said, there is no question Forest's owner wants Premier League football, and his side still look some way from that.

"A decent sale could allow them to build for that push to the top tier."
