Sports reporter Ian Abrahams has recently said that it would be "bad for English football" if Leeds United and Norwich City were to be promoted to the Premier League this season.

The pair currently sit firmly at the upper echelons of the Championship table, with Leeds, sitting in 2nd place, find themselves five points clear of Sheffield United in 3rd position.

But speaking of his admiration and ambition to get more British managers into the Premier League, Abrahams has recently come out this extraordinary claim on the Canaries and the Whites - saying that it would be "bad for English football" if the duo were promoted.

Here, we talk about Abraham's comments...

George Harbey

I think it's utter ludicrous to be quite honest.

Regardless of his nationality, Daniel Farke has worked wonders at Norwich and has developed many English youngsters at Carrow Road - the likes of Todd Cantwell, Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons have all emerged as first-team regulars, and former star James Maddison is lighting up the Premier League.

It's bizarre for someone to make these claims, especially someone who is in the public eye.

Gary Hutchinson

Sensationalist rubbish in order to further his own reputation. That’s what his comments were.

He’s one of these ‘shock jocks’, the personalities who rant their views to stir up comment and response.

It’s utter garbage, Leeds and Norwich both have fine English players in their squads.

If the English coaches were good enough, they’d be in the top two - it was worse that a long-ball dinosaur like Warnock got a PL spot last season, with Steve Bruce another close to achieving it.

Alfie Burns

It’s ridiculously narrow-minded and not even an accurate argument.

Leeds have helped produce some of this country’s best talent over the years, and in the first-team now there are a number of English youngsters. Norwich are the same and have some fantastic talent.

Who cares who is managing them?

George Dagless

It's laughable.

You're not telling me Marcelo Bielsa wouldn't bring an extra dimension and class to the top flight of the English game.

Pep Guardiola thinks he's one of the best managers to ever grace the dugout but Moose says it'd be a bad thing.

Turn it in.
