‘Useless’ ‘Embarrassing’- Many Sunderland fans lambast key figure after late heartbreak v Doncaster

Sunderland looked set for a victory on the road against Doncaster Rovers – but disaster struck very late on.
Midfield stalwart Grant Leadbitter opened the scoring late in the first half, and Donny spent the whole of the second half searching for a way back into the game.
The hosts had the better of it, with Jason Lokilo, Matt Smith and Fejiri Okenabirhie all having chances to equalise.
The Black Cats could’ve killed the game off late on, but as is seemingly the case with Sunderland recently, the fans were let down once again.
In the 93rd minute, Okenabirhie prodded a cross in from close range beyond Remi Matthews, leaving Sunderland supporters in despair for a second straight Saturday.
Many questions had been asked of Phil Parkinson before today, and of many of the players he selects in the starting line-up.
But it looks like from the reaction on Twitter that some are on the verge of giving up unless a change is made at the top.
Let’s look at some of the Tweets sent by Sunderland fans in the aftermath of that late heartbreak earlier today, including from celebrity fan Chris Hughes.
This is hard now. It’s actually hard. It’s been hard for years, but come on man.

Get him sacked no later than 17:30, absolutely useless, going backwards like him

This bloke needs sacking tonight. This isn’t by any stretch of the imagination good enough.

I've tried to back the man and have said getting rid of him would not be for the best at the minute but after yet another kick in the teeth enough is enough. Time to go Parky.

Embarrassment. This is what happens when we play negative football, have no intensity in our forward play and no goalscorers.

How much longer we gonna give this bloke? We just gonna wait until we have no chance of promotion?
