Sunderland got back to winning ways at the weekend as they beat Gillingham 2-0 in Sky Bet League One thanks to goals from Chris Maguire and Lynden Gooch late on in the day.

It was an important result for the Black Cats with them sitting in sixth in the table and the hope will be for the rest of the season that they're going to stay there and only look up, rather than fall out of the play-off places.

Easier said than done, of course, with them playing a promotion contender later this week as they take on Ipswich Town and the team news is as follows...

Jordan Willis is set to be missing for a couple of weeks with a knee issue but not until after the MK Dons clash.

He's carrying the problem through the next set of games, then, and will have the injection on 14th November, which will then keep him out for two weeks as it gets to work.

Youngster Benji Kimpioka will not be involved at all, meanwhile, with him suffering a hamstring problem in the last U23 game for the club, potentially keeping him out for two months.

Elsewhere we may well see Phil Parkinson look to rotate his side where he can as the games keep on coming in League One.

Chris Maguire came off of the bench against the Gills at the weekend, for example, and could now be in contention to start against the Tractor Boys.
