Queens Park Rangers’ Ryan Manning has the been speculation of a Premier League transfer of late, as the club continues to work towards a new deal for the 23-year-old.

Ryan Manning has been a revelation at QPR this season.

Under new manager Mark Warburton, Manning has seen a position-swap moving from central midfield to a left-sided defender.

The change has worked wonders and Manning has established himself as one of the league’s most creative players from the left-flank.

He’s topping the club’s stat charts for chances created, crosses, assists and so on, and has found himself the target of a number of Premier League clubs but Sean Gallagher of talkSPORT has offered this update.

Newcastle and Southampton are said to be plotting a January swoop for the Irishman, whose contract in West London expires next summer.

QPR though have the option to extend this by a year, and have since been working towards a new deal for Manning.

As we draw closer to the New Year, fans become more unsettled with every passing day that a new contract for Manning isn't announced by the club.

The verdict

It's worrying to QPR that Manning is such a wanted man.

He's been one of their standout performers so far this season, and his exit would be a huge blow for everyone at the club.

The lure of the top-flight may be enough to see Manning leave in January though, and fans can only hope that QPR get a good deal for the full-back.
