Paul Heckingbottom has delivered his latest press conference today where he once again fielded questions concerning his future.

It's not exactly been rosy for Hecky at the Whites since arriving in January with many questioning him at one point or another and also some calling for him to be sacked.

Others have suggested it might be the case he gets to make his signings this summer before we judge him too much, though, and that appears to be the thought process at the club right now.

Indeed, as quoted by Phil Hay, Heckingbottom has shown no signs that he'll be leaving soon and that the plan very much is for him to be at the club at the start of the new campaign.

He said:

Some might not be happy with this but, to be fair, you can see why he might be allowed the window in order to shape the team into what he wants.

The Verdict

Hecky might have a point to prove to many fans at the moment but there's no doubt that he deserves to at least have a summer where he can sign his own players.

It's clear the squad isn't good enough and so if he can improve it and get results he might just start seeing some more positive results.
