PSV have released a statement revealing that they have given forward Joel Piroe the space to talk with another club about a potential move as Swansea City circle, via Wales Online.
It has previously been reported that Swansea have agreed a fee with PSV for Piroe that could be worth around €2 million (£1.7m). Although according to Wales Online the fee might be closer to the £1 million mark considering that he only has one more year left to run on his deal with the Dutch club.
However, it was thought that there were still complications in the deal with the forward having spent time away on holiday recently and also with Brexit complications potentially affecting the move from being able to happen.

It is now being reported by Wales Online that PSV have revealed that they are allowing Prioe to enter into talks with another club over a potential switch this summer. While it also suggested that the Dutch side are willing to cooperate in making the move for him get over the line.
This is a very encouraging update for Swansea and it does suggest that they will be able to make the move for Piroe happen with PSV seemingly willing to allow him to leave the club. The Swans need to add to their firepower having lost last season’s top scorer in the shape of Andre Ayew and this would be a positive step in sorting out that major loss from the squad.
Piroe is someone that has a lot of potential and he has shown some promising form in his young career at youth level, but he now needs to show that on a consistent basis in the first team somewhere. If Steve Cooper remains with the Swans then he could be the ideal manager to unlock the best form from the forward over the next few years.
Swansea might need to bring in another forward as well, but if they can secure a move for Piroe in the next week or so then it would enable them time to work with him in pre-season and get him up to speed with life in English football.
