Brentford's Said Benrahma has been the talk of a Premier League move this season, but suitors will have to pay £22.5 million to pry him from Griffin Park according to European outlet Todofichajes.

The Algerian has once again lit up Griffin Park with his talent. He's ten goals and seven assists to his name this season and it looks as though he could face a contested summer ahead.

All of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle have shown an interest in him this season, though it's the latter two who seem to be the front-runners to sign Benrahma when the transfer window reopens.

But either club will have to pay £22.5 million to secure his services.

A lot of his future lies within Brentford's season fortunes, and should they miss out on promotion to the Premier League this season then it'd be hard to see him staying much longer.

Chelsea have touted him as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho. The Dortmund man has too been the talk of a Premier League move but he's said to be worth in excess of £120 million.

Benrahma then becomes the cheaper option and the 24-year-old could well be the favoured candidate to come into either Stamford Bridge this summer, or into a Newcastle side looking to finalise a £300 million takeover.

The verdict

Those who've seen Benrahma in action this season know just how good he is. On his day he is by far the best layer in the EFL and it remains only a matter of time before he steps up into the Premier League.

Chelsea seems like a better fit for Benrahma, but that might because they've got an Eden Hazard-shaped hole remaining in their side. But Newcastle can't be discredited, and should their takeover go through in the coming weeks then they could well ounce for Benrahma.
