Aberdeen have yet to make a move in their pursuit of Ipswich Town goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky, a report from TWTD has revealed.

Hladky only joined Ipswich from Salford City last summer, but has so far struggled to really settle in at Portman Road, making just 14 appearances for the club across all competitions.

That is something that has led to speculation around the 31-year-old's future recently, with some reports claiming that the Tractor Boys are willing to sell the goalkeeper for the right price this summer, amid interest from Aberdeen.

Now however, it seems as though the Scottish Premiership side have so far yet to try and take advantage of that situation.

According to this latest update, there has been no made with Ipswich by Aberdeen - who are managed by Hladky's former St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin - about a possible move for the goalkeeper.

Having signed a three-year contract with Ipswich when he joined last summer, Hladky's future at Portman Road is secure until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The Verdict

It seems that this could be one to keep an eye for much of the summer.

While there has been no approach yet, we are still in the very early stages of this round of transfer business, so there is still plenty of time for things to change in that regard.

Indeed, you do feel as though there is likely to be interest as well, given Hladky has shown plenty of times that he is a solid goalkeeping option, and that he is not playing as much as he is likely to want to.

As a result, it does feel as though the circumstances are there that could allow for a move to happen, although it remains to be seen if that will be to Aberdeen, or elsewhere.
