@StatsChristian has revealed Aston Villaâs Jonathan Kodjia has the chance to create history for the club this season, if he can reach the 20-goal mark.
Kodjia netted his 19th Sky Bet Championship goal of the season in Saturdayâs 1-1 draw with Burton Albion, and should he score once more, he will become the first player since 1981 to score 20 goals in a season for Villa.
Peter Withe was the last Villa player to score 20 goals, which was back in the 1980-81 campaign, when Villa won the First Division title.
Kodjia has been a shining light at Vila Park this term, excelling during his debut season with Villa.
The Ivorian has led Villaâs Championship revival over recent weeks, with Steve Bruceâs side moving well away from the relegation zone and into the top-half of the table.
Villaâs late Play-Off push appears to be over following Saturdayâs result, but if Kodjia can replicate this form next season, Bruceâs side could be competing at the right end of the table.
