Charlton Athletic got themselves into the League One play-off final with a shootout win over a resilient Doncaster Rovers last night.
After a stunning game at the Valley culminated in the visitors running out 3-2 winners on the night, the match was decided by spot kicks, with the Addicks coming out on top thanks to misses from Rovers pair John Marquis and Tommy Rowe.
It really was a tie which could have gone either way over the two legs, and both sides will hold their heads high - albeit Charlton will be holding their heads high heading into Wembley.
One of the key performers for the Addicks last night was midfielder Josh Cullen, who put in another fine display in the middle of the park and dispatched his penalty with ease to keep the momentum going for the home side after Chris Solly had scored the first penalty.
Cullen, who has enjoyed an excellent loan spell from West Ham this year, was quick to take to Twitter following the game too, and he was clearly delighted with the win after such a tricky tie.
The Charlton fans too seemed happy with Cullen's showing, and judging by the replies, he might just be welcome back next season if a move can be sorted out...
